Advantages:

•  Reduces the overall weight of the toupee.
•  Prolongs the finished hair style
•  Able to be shampooed and conditioned at home.
•  Allows for more colour variation
•  Helps to prevent fading

 

Disadvantages:

• Fibre can become damaged if the toupee is treated as human hair when styled.
