How does thinning hair occur on the crown of my head?

The changes within the hair follicle are slow as each hair is naturally shed daily, when the new hair starts to emerge from the hair follicle, it grows finer and has a shorter growing period.  This is repeated many times and eventually the hair follicle dies.

While thinning hair is in this transitional phase it is advisable to commence with a topical treatment such as a DHT inhibitor, Phytax, Vitex, Trichogenesis or Minoxidil lotions. These products are a treatment and not a cure and if they do work, then you will be on them until you decide otherwise.

These treatments have to be used regularly if you do not undertake a regular regime then you would be wasting your time and money. Which ever treatment you decide to use there is only a third of the population that will notice hair growth and you will need to apply daily for 12 months before you know if the treatment was successful.
